IRATA ROPE ACCESS

Rope access is a method of work positioning developed from climbing and caving techniques. It provides a safe and effective means of access and egress for operatives to carry out a wide variety of tasks in difficult and hard to reach locations. The International Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) was formed to ensure that all rope access work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner. To achieve this it has developed a formal training scheme under which operatives must qualify.
